Once again Helperby cricket club has made a selection that boggles the mind, well not really. I'm sure everyone has come to realise by now that if you are related to or mates with the right people you have a better than average chance of getting in the side this week it's Tom Darnell. Who is he? Can he play cricket? Will he be a committed member of the club? Has he been tested in the 3rd or 2nd team? What about those players in the 2nd and 3rd teams who have earned their right to be promoted? At the begining of the year there was a selection committee created to stop any one person imposing their will on the club, what has happened to this process?
By The way this is Will Cupit and I have no bones about making that known so if anyone else wants to ring my father and have a go at him it's me you want to be talking to and I won't be bullied by anyone in this club!!!
