Success all round with three victories this weekend.
The first XL notched up their third consecutive win with a convincing performance against Ripley. Rohan continued to impress with his third half century, making 79, and Mark Spilman 89, continued his excellent start to the season. Matt Cavanagh took 4 wickets, and Dan Marston bowled well in his first start this year for the 1st Xl, taking 2 wickets as the opposition were bowled out cheaply.
David Sowray completed a fine century with 106 not out, for the 2nd Xl at Staveley. Helperby deserved victory, their bowling attack proving too strong for the home team, Clive Swiers claiming 3 wickets.
The 3rd Xl bowlers were too good for Killinghall, restricting them to 101 for 8, John Wilson finishing with three victims. Danny Spink had an excellent afternoon in his first match as wicketkeeper. In reply Rob Challis top scored with 37 as the 3rds completed an easy victory with overs to spare.
